For many, many years, I have associated leather furniture with those big and horrible leather couches that you found in so many Danish homes in the 90's. Especially big, black leather corner couches give me the chills. My parents also had these brown leather armchairs that they sat in every night after work for decades, until the leather got so worn that they had to fix it with tape. Yeah, that's the stuff.
Though I still don't like leather corner couches, I find myself drawn to the black vintage couches with just the right patina - like the ones on the pictures above (plus a to-die-for The Egg armchair by Arne Jacobsen). I like how they add a masculine touch to the nordic interior. What do you think? Would you let a leather couch into your home?
I had trouble finding the original sources for some of the pics, so please let me know, if you know them.
