Those who know me well, know that I have seen Lost in Translation more times than I can count. Fortunately, my husband shares my admiration of the film, so going to Tokyo and Japan for our honeymoon was partly to experience the scenery from the film first-hand.

However, Park Hyatt (where most of the film takes place) is a fancy hotel, and it would have been too expensive for us to stay there all our nights in Tokyo. Instead we literary spent the first three nights in the shadow of the building :D Tuesday night, we had made dinner reservations at the New York Grill at the top of the hotel. The whole experience of being there, the out-of-this-world tenderloin and the view of the city, made us decide to at least spend one night at the hotel. Would we ever get the chance again? The stay was really, really amazing and money well-spent. Everything was so consistently perfect - from the Aesop products in the huge bathroom (yes, I took them with me home :-)), the room service, the skylight swimming pool, the amazing atmosphere in the bar and the best view ever. So here are a few glimpses from our stay there.

Hope you've had a great weekend? I started a four week internship at an interior shop here in Aalborg this week, and I also had to work Saturday, so I'm super tired today and that extra wintertime hour came very conveniently.
