weekly wrap-up x 7

21/02/2016

This week has been quite exhausting, to say the least - so I could easily use a weekend more after this one, pretty please! We have been out looking for a new rental apartment, and we have seen so many (crappy) ones that I can't even keep track of them anymore. We ended up finding the perfect one though at the right location, size, price and everything (imagine three rooms en-suite, herringbone floor and a stunning stucco - apartment heaven in other words) and the sweet landlady gave us the impression that it would be ours if we wanted it, because she hadn't been able to find a tenant since May last year. And we did, want it that is. We agreed that we should come and see it again and go over the details, but we drove the hour it takes to get there just to find out that the landlady had given it to someone else, and she hadn't bothered to give us a call. Doh! You can imagine how disappointed we were, because this kind of apartment just doesn't come around that often.

However, we have actually found another one now that will have to do. It's a lot smaller, but it can work for a period - I guess the other one will just always be 'the one that got away'. Well, well... it's not the end of the world, and I'm sure we will find the home of our dreams one day, and until then - here you have this week's (short) wrap-up with my favourite design news and blog posts from the past week. Happy Sunday!

Norrgavel is a Swedish interior brand, and this week I loved the pictures from their spring collection that Hildur Blad from Fixa & Dona shared on her blog. That green colour is divine!

The pictures from Sandberg Wallpaper's trend report SS16 have also received a lot of attention in the Scandinavian blogosphere this week - beautifully styled by Charlotte Ryding and Emma Fischer With the report, Sandberg wants to help their costumers find their personal interior profile and that way help them make more sustainable and thought-out choices when decorating their homes. They have thus made four profiles: The spiritualist, the gardener, the collector and the explorer. I think I'm a good mix of all of them :D Download the whole report here. Which profile matches you best?

  1. There's nothing worse than getting your hopes up for something and then being disappointed. I believe everything happens for a reason! There's the perfect place on its way to you.
    Good luck!

  2. Sorry for your apartment heartache. There is nothing worse than falling in love with a place, mentally moving in and then suddenly losing it. In my experience though, things usually work out for the best. Good luck!

    1. Thank you so much, Courtney! And your absolutely right, I'm sure everything will work out just fine - for some reason, it (almost) always does. Thanks for reminding me.
